I have known the owners of this business for years. So that being said I might be biased but here is a brief review. Big system moving thru and John and his crew knew the safe zones to take us powder skiing(and boarding). Knee deep conditions and smiles were shared by all. Excellent terrain for intermediate and experts and beautiful... More

My friends and I had a great time skiing with this outfit for two days of deep powder, during winter storm, Kayla. The storm made risk management a challenge, and they did a great job. I've done a fair bit of helicopter, snowcat and other backcountry skiing. I always enjoy guides who are simultaneously safe, and fun / friendly (many... More

I have been an avid snowboarder for almost 30 years and have much experience in the back country. Silverton Powder Cats are a top notch operation! They are not only knowledgeable about safety and getting you the best lines, but know how to make the clients feel comfortable and just have fun. I rarely write reviews, but after several times... Spending 2 days on the cat in the middle of 40" snow definitely heightened our experience. All guides are professional and were very knowledgeable about snow conditions and risks. There is tremendous variety in terrain and where you go is predicated by the snow and weather conditions. They day is long and you definitely get your money's worth. They provide... More

Was in Silverton and did some Cat Skiing in mid Feb 2013. The Powdercat operation is very professional and the guides excellent. Altough we did not have the best snow conditions our guides tracked down some very good runs that really lived up to our expectations. Thanks for a pleasant day!

I have skied with this company many times and always end up having a great day. Don't be fooled by local conditions elsewhere. Starting your day at 10000' on Molas Pass gives this operation a huge advantage when it comes to storms sticking around and dumping ample amounts of powder. Starting the day on the east side and moving around... More

I've been skiing with Silverton Powdercats a hand full of times and the experience is always great! The skiing has been phenomenal, with a variety of terrain suitable for just about anyone. The guides are friendly and laid back, yet still very professional and safe. I've skied with a few other cat skiing companies in and out of Colorado, and... More

I've been skiing with Silverton Powdercats a few times and always walk away with a smile. You'll ski a bit of everything, and it's all fun. The guides are super laid back and great partners to spend a couple days skiing POW!
