The Yampa River Botanic Park was started just as we came to Steamboat Springs and we have enjoyed it so very many times. It has grown into a magnificent Botanic Park with most every species of plants in our area. There is a large pond/small lake in the middle upon which to sit along it sides to enjoy the view... More

This is a beautiful botanic garden with lots of little trails. Our toddlers loved it although it was hard to keep them out of the flower beds. So nice that it's free!

The Botanic Park was just minutes from our hotel and we decided to check it out. What a treat! A small Botanic park dotted park benches, sculptures, rocks and a variety of spring flowers. I saw several plants and miniplots dedicated to persons (family members?). I sat by the pond and just soaked in the peace and beauty of the... More

This is a great spot for locals to learn about what grows well in our mountain climate, but it is also great for tourists. If you are in town for baseball, soccer or lacrosse with your kids, take a few minutes to check our this lovely park. In the summer there are concerts by local artists and the park is... More

I've visited this botanical garden a few times and I'm always pleased. I've gone for morning yoga, a lunchtime concert on the lawn, and of course to see all the pretty flowers, plants, and ponds. I've spoken to a couple of the gardeners who volunteer their time to keep the gardens looking their best and the volunteers have been so... More

Romantic and educational, a very eclectic and beautifully maintained garden with sculpture and ponds. Great place to take a family photo or learn about native plants.

We happened to "stumble" upon this place, but having walked through it and thoroughly enjoyed it, we highly recommend this botanic park. It was beautifully laid out and had a huge number of specimens of all types. Check it out; you'll be pleasantly surprised !!!

We drove here and found the car park beside the recreation grounds. It was first thing in the morning on a fairly cold September day. The gardens are beautiful even in September and we found the range of flowers still in bloom at this high altitude to be amazing. It is a very tranquil place to explore and since it... More

The park is located through a fairly residential street and there is a large parking lot near the entrance. There is no entrance fee although a donation is suggested. I understand the park to be run largely by volunteers and the staff we met were very knowledgable about the varieties of trees and plants on show. There are several distinct... More
