There are a lot of shops and places to eat. The small theater is a unique experience. We felt like we went back in time. Many of the buildings have historical markers.

We had a blast even though most stores and restaurants were close during mud season but we still managed to have a great time. I love this time of year in the mountain towns.

We visited during the off season so a lot of places were closed however there were still a bunch of cute shops, great restaurant and gorgeous views. Parking is cheap (only $1/hour). Need to check it out if you are in the area.

Cute little town with an adorable Main Street!! All of the shops are nice! The guy at the Patagonia store gave us tips for places to go! And the ghost ship had great breakfast!

Great way to relax and enjoy some shopping. Besides the obvious bars and restaurants there are some nice coffee/bakery shops and a decent bookstore. Beautiful view of the peak overlooking the town.

East access, nice galleries and shops. Not pretentious, very dog friendly and kid friendly. Great restaurants, good bars. No lack of food or drink. Low key mountain community. All ages.

I live in Summit County, Colorado. That's home to Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain, and the Legendary Arapahoe Basin ski areas, and the towns of Frisco, Dillon, and Silverthorne. So I know ski towns. Telluride is special. First the shops are truly curated by talented retailers...More

Telluride's main street is packed with all kinds of shops some of which are pretty high end, but some are pretty reasonable. There are lots of great places to eat also. At the end of the street is a lovely park and of course there...More

I usually target the first of October, plus or minus a week and you'll be really close to the peak. It looks great either way.

We are coming to Colorado in June for a concert and wanted to go to Vail for a few days. What things are there to do there in the summer?
