As a family we enjoyed walking around downtown Vail. The city did a great job decorating and making the downtown area welcoming. Unlike Breckenridge where we found service personnel unfriendly, Vail village’s restaurants and stores were welcoming and friendly. Saturday night’s live music created a lively fun atmosphere.…

Due to the COVID pandemic we could not travel to Our home country in Europe this Summer, se we decided to spend 2 weeks in Colorado. The experienced surpassed our expectations! Awesome setting and organization. It is amazing to see what they have been able to accomplish in less than 60 years from the creation of this resort. The Alpine, typical of South Tyrol, style of the buildings is so beautiful that competes with the originals. We visited the town several times during the day, at night and on Sundays Market day, always enjoying the beauty and the impeccable organization.…

Have been to Vail a couple times and have not been impressed. Firstly ensure when going that stores and shops are open. When we've gone during non-ski season, most of the stores and restaurants were closed. Yes the European architecture is nice but that's the one good thing. Paid over $60 for sandwiches and $22 in parking for a quick stop. Subway sandwiches would have been better and cheaper. When considering booking your next mountain vacation, go to Breckenridge instead. Stores in Breck are open year-round and has a nicer downtown to stroll around.…
