Went with some out of town friends on a Sunday afternoon. Parking lot is *small* so be prepared to wait if no one is leaving. The displays are interesting and the pavilion with the butterflies fluttering around is cool. One note, parent do need to keep their kids under control & advise them to be respectful of the critters/displays...it is... More

I understand the humidity and warmth but the glass was dirty to the display cases. .The staff was disinterested unless one was under 8 years..

We enjoyed calming our minds by simply sitting on a bench and letting the butterflies flit around us!

The Butterfly Pavilion offers 1 1/2 to 2 hours of enjoyable and informative fun for all ages. In addition to the large indoor butterfly garden there are lots of spiders and tarantulas. The outdoor grounds along the creek must be beautiful in the spring and summer!

Went on a discount day and glad we did. Wouldn't have wanted to pay full price. Not something to do as the focal point of your day but a good time filler. Parking is terrible and the gift shop is incredibly over priced. Staff was not very friendly either. Not something worth doing more than once.

We went to the holiday creatures at night event. It was good and kids enjoyed. Nice way to spend a cold evening. The highlight for them was holding the tarantula. There's a play area too that was fun.

What the butterfly pavilion does offer is nice but it is super small facility. Doesn't take much time to see the whole facility. Offers other reptile and insects to see besides butterfly's too.
