This was a relaxing place for me on Sundays. The wolf exhibit was special and the staff are very friendly and informed. I took many photos in the greenhouses while in was raining.

I visit the zoo a few times a year -- including within the last week -- and it is perfect for my family. I have three young children who love all of the animals, from the tigers to the prairie dogs. They ask to go back literally every week. The animals seem happy and well cared for, and the grounds... More

This is my favorite day tripper destination. I visit this zoo yearly, and just love the birds and animals they have on display. My favorite is the tropical house with the monkeys and exotic birds. The greenhouse has some interesting plants, and I always look for the peacocks that are walking around the grounds near the barnyard. I went with... More

they were preparing for Halloween, which sadly scared our grandson a bit, but he loves the prairies dogs and farm so much. We had to cut short the visit because of the scary stuff but usually we'd have stayed quite awhile.

Beardsley zoo is truly a beautiful respite in an urban setting. The zoo features an animal collection of north and south American species. Great day for toddlers and youngsters who can enjoy the playground space and carousel after viewing the animals.

For a family, the zoo fee would be a little pricey. As an educational tool, it is great for all if one reads all that is available. For most animals, they seem happy and content and are doing well in the captive environment - probably much the same as if on a farm. The grand animals, the lions and leopards... More

I've been going to Beardsley zoo all my life, but there really isn't much to see. I do enjoy the monkey house and they do have a beautiful carousel, but the animal situation is pitiful. They also have a green house if that's your thing, but it's not mine. They have a decent snack bar and gift shop. I'd suggest... More

I've been to Beardsley zoo many times over the years, with my kids, with my elderly parents, or with my lady. It's always a pleasant place to pass the time. Staff are friendly and helpful, it's clean and well maintained. It's modest in size, so you can see it all in a couple of hours, depending on your speed. Nice... More
