In a fairness, we were there before opening hours in July. We drove through and checked out the bison for a few minutes. The farm is rustic. There were other animals in pens but we did not get out. It was worth the extra minute detour but not something I have to rush to go see.

A wonderful experience for the entire family, We did the full package with bison burgers that were delicious, sodas from a local company (I had Lime Rickey for the first time since my teens) and creamy ice cream. One of the young girls had a lemonade stand. Petting area was wonderful and the children who cared for their animal interacted... More

We stop by when we are in the quiet corner of CT. Kids may like the idea of seeing bison up close. We pick up ground bison each time in their quaint store and gift shop.

The farm was so cozy, the farmers were kind, the open hay tractor ride gently brushing up next to the bison was something you'd only get to experience if you have family that own a farm- which we don't. How about that ancient house under the mound? This place is fantastic! We had sweetly labeled containers of food for the... More

I don't know what the other poster was talking about; this place is fantastic. The views are great, the hospitality is wonderful, and the bison are magnificent. They really went out of their way to have everyone enjoy themselves, and we all did! Truly, this is one of the best family-friendly features Connecticut has to offer. Also, the gift shop... More

Took my 9 and 10 year old boys on a gorgeous fall day. I'm a bit of a buffalo geek, so I was looking forward to learning something. Overall, I'm glad we went, but wish a few things were different. We paid 10$ per person for the tour and pumpkin picking package. The wagon ride to see the buffalo is... More

We have been to the farm twice, including last Fall. Bison are NOT cows. They are very independent and are not easy to keep penned up. They run faster than a racehourse (up to 35 MPH) and can jump higher than a deer (over 6 feet). They looked health and well cared for; similiar to those in the wilds of... More

OK, I went with an open mind after seeing a number of poor reviews. Traveled 75 miles only to be treated in a rude and very unfriendly manner by the owner Deborah. This woman is totally unprofessional, unapproachable and rude to anyone that may have had a question. When my wife and I arrived we were pleased to see a... More
