We enjoyed a quiet morning on this small and quaint beach. There's a trail nearby (Niantic Boardwalk) that you can walk along and see other views of the Long Island Sound. Plenty of parking and restrooms in the parking lot. The power plant in the...More

My wife and I have gone to this beach in Niantic on and off over the years but during the months of Aug. and Sept., there is so much seaweed in the water, it makes it very annoying. Also, in late Aug. the black biting...More

My wife and I took a fall drive to Niantic and unexpectedly discovered this beautiful beach area. The hole-in-the-wall refers to an access point under the Acela Train rails to get from a parking lot to the beach. There is a mile-long boardwalk along the...More

This isn't the most popular beach in Niantic, and that's good for visitors, because it's not large and yet has enough space for the few who find it (the locals know about it, but tend to direct tourists elsewhere - it was suggested only after...More

The beach is particularly well-suited for kids - no big waves, clean sand, and not crowded. And there's a beautiful boardwalk on one side and part on a bluff on the other. Easy walk to shops/restaurants in town.

This is a great beach for families! Short walk from parking to the beach, usually quiet, never crowded ,can walk to shops/resturants nearby. a great beach for an hour or all day. Not the best swimming or views.

This is a nice Beach and Park combo. The beach is nice and clean with a nice big park right there. There are benches overlooking beautiful Niantic Bay. It's a wonderful place to walk through or just sit and watch nature.

We visited this beach on a sunny but colder day in September. We had a great time looking for shells and walking around. There was construction set up near the train track part of the beach, but fortunately no construction going on that particular day....More

Hidden Gem of sorts... beach area connected to McCook Point and the boardwalk is ideal for families. Beach is narrow but very well maintained. Bathrooms available. Need to purchase day entry passes which is less user friendly.

It's free if you park on the street and walk in. The east lyme parks and recreation sell parking passes.
