Rocky Neck is a wonderful State Park. Great paved road through the woods that will take you to a good spot to enjoy the views along the Long Island Sound. There's marshes near the parking lot where we could observe many birds. Enjoy!

My boyfriend and I stopped here on our way to Mystic. It was off season so nothing extra was open, which is fine for us, we prefer a more quiet nature experience. The beach was nice and there was lots of rocks to climb on...More

We adore this campground, come multiple times a year. It's always clean & rangers are friendly. Wish the beach was open to more than fisherman at night.

My wife and I made a quick stop at Rocky Neck to see what it looked like. I was somewhat disappointed in it's location by the train tracks. It felt very cramped.

Rocky Neck is a small CT state park not far Off I-95. Rocky Neck reminds me of how things were many years ago along the CT shore when I grew up. There is a building made of field stone right by the railroad tracks that...More

It is difficult to get to a beach in CT even though we are blessed with lovely beaches. BUT-the almighty dollar has prohibited most of the public from enjoying any beaches-much better a few rich people hog the beauty!! But here is a pristine white...More

Pros: Camp sites were nice, large amount of space and you were not on top of other campers. Different types of campsites - ones with lots of trees to being in a field. Close walk to the beach. Also had a hiking trail that was...More

Lovely for children. Gentle waves. Too crowded in later afternoon. Beautiful beach. There's a loud train that passes a couple of times per hour.

How far is the walk from the campground to the beach? I don't want to assume it's walkable then be surprised when we go camping.

It is not a long walk and it depends on where your camping area is.

Camping area has sufficient shade with the surrounding trees unless you are camping in the "tent" area which is out in the open. You would definitely need to bring your own shade for the beach.
What are the fees to park and go to the beach on weekends?

$13 for a CT resident, $22 for out of state.
