If you're familiar with Europe, particularly England, you'll know that in just about every town or city there is a "High" street. It's typically the most important business and commercial street. Greenwich Avenue is no different. It's a one way street from the top at...More

If you're visiting Greenwich, this is pretty much "the street" where everything happens. A lovely variety of shops, restaurants, etc. to keep you occupied for a while. But once you've seen it, returning frequently may get a little boring.

Lots of high end stores. Most that were affordable (Gap, Banana, Ann Taylor, Victoria’s Secret, Gap Kids) all gone!! Very disappointing. Lots of empty stores due to CRAZY high rents and the Amazon effect. Sad.

Unlike the title of Thomas Wolfe's 1940 novel, one can go home again! I hadn't been back in Greenwich since 2006 (having moved in 2002) and when I walked down Greenwich Avenue I found many things to be exactly the same (parking meters, the beautiful...More
