It may not be close to anything but it's the best ice cream around. You MUST have the waffle cone. The wonderful smell alone will bring you in!!! A must for a summer adventure!

The ice cream is decent, not over the top great, but the problem is, it is extremely expensive. I ordered a 2 scoop cone for me and a scoop of vanilla for each of my dogs and it was $16

We have been going to buttonwoods ever since they opened and have always enjoyed the ice cream. We went on Mothers day for the first time this year. When they handed me my 2 scoop cone the top scoop was very small so I asked...More

Yes, it's more expensive than most but they don't use commercially prepared ice cream either. Everything is fresh and made on sight. Great selection if flavors...my favorite is almond not or pumpkin. Cows come to visit periodically and in July they have the fields bursting...More

Buttonwoods is a must in the summer during their annual sunflower festival! It is a beautiful spot for pictures especially in the early morning or early evening, when the sunlight is softer and the crowds have thinned. Buttonwoods is known for their ice cream locally,...More

I'm going to give this a five because I'm from the area and this is the only reason anyone who is not from Griswold would go there. The ice cream is really very good. They make it themselves using milk from their cows. It is...More

If you want amazing ice cream and a breath taking view during sunflower season, you must stop here. They have a huge variety of ice creams. My favorite is a coffee flavor with coffee beans inside. It is so good. Bring a blanket, the kids,...More

Overpriced ice cream, hay rides and corn maze. A pint of ice cream is $24. The sunflowers are the only thing worth visiting for. I'm a local.

This is the best ice cream anywhere bar none. They have many great flavors and it is simply out of this world. If you find yourself in eastern Connecticut you must try it.

The sunflower festival has hayrides through the sun flowers and there is a little 'cow' train for the under 5 kids. No animals. Just really good ice cream.
