Friendly stroll and time spent under the shade of the trees. Good views of the water, Soldiers and Sailors arch, access from/to the State Capitol. Very busy though, so finding a good spot away from the noise was tough, but not impossible.

Enjoyed our stroll through the park plus our visit to the Soldiers and Sailors Civil War monument. All in all a nice adjunct to a visit to the State Capitol and with the plus of local street parking.

This is a fabulous green space, where you can stroll, visit the fountain and lake, visit the carousel or just take a short cut from the State Capitol to downtown.

I really don't know, I didn't see anyone with a dog and I just had one visit there as it was across the street from my hotel.
