Outdoor seating overlooking the vineyard is worth the trip!

Great small ecletic winery with nice and relaxing seating area. Although views are limited, just a nice place to relax and sip on some wine for couples or friends. Went there for a wine tasting and enjoyed the wine and sitting in the back. Not a large place and part of the reason for the charm.

Absolutely beautiful vineyard, both inside and out. The wines are spectacular! The whites are clean and crisp. The reds are deep, flavorful. Not a bad one in the bunch! We brought some cheese and crackers and bought some wine to have outside overlooking the grapevines. They do sell some cheeses and other snacks at the winery but they encourage guests... More

We wanted to try a new winery but ended up at maugle after visiting holmberg which was overrun by families and had a small tasting area. What I will say differed about this trip was the fact that we decided to sit outside on the lower area rather than the deck and appreciated the staff coming to check on us.... More

Thanks for coming. Glad you enjoyed your selves. Please do return, we are open all winter. With the weather turning colder, it'll be nice to gather round the fireplace with friends. Cheers! More

My wife and I visited on a Sunday. this was our first visit here. The grounds are very nice with seating outside and inside. The tasting room is very nice, with a fire place that would be nice in the winter. There was a band playing and they were very good. It was great to sit in the sun outside... More

Went here with another couple because they had live music. We had the best time, the guitar player, I believe James Harris, was excellent people were up dancing and having a blast. Wines good too.

I've been to this vineyard many times in the past, beginning with the tasting room in the basement (which was soooo cool and cozy on a warm summer day). The tasting room is magnificent...beautifully planned out. The wine is good though the price for tastings has dramatically increased over the years, presently $12.00 for 6 wines (perhaps to pay for... More

My aunt and I met up to see this vineyard as we are both lovers of wine (new and old love affairs). The tasting was $12 for 6 wines (not of your own choosing). We also paid an extra $2 n order to keep the glass. We had a good time with the woman who did our tasting but didn't... More

I arrived with one other person, just after another couple had walked in. The woman working asked that we bear with her while she rang up a group that had just finished. She quickly took care of them, then did the tasting for us and the other couple. The tasting was $12 to taste 6 pre-selected wines, three white, a... More

So I logged in to my TripAdvisor account today and see I received a response from the owner of this establishment (or whoever is handling the TripAdvisor page) in response to my review I originally wrote on July 22, 2106. I gave them 3 stars, which in my opinion is not horrible. The atmosphere is great but I found the... More

I have been to all of the ct wineries. This ranks in my top three. Friendly knowledgable and a great venue. Lots of outside seating and live music. Local farm cheeses and a bottle of wine. This is a must stop unlike most of the ct wine trail

Thanks for the great review. Like to hear we are among the top three wineries in Connecticut. Stop in from time to time, as we are always bottling wine with something new to taste. Have you enjoyed a Chocolate Shooter or two? More
