I went for a few hikes/walks through this park during my visit to Madison. It was a lovely destination. The trails are well kept, the campgrounds seemed clean, the guests seemed happy, and the beaches were tidy and peaceful. I saw some negative reviews and...More

The beach was nearly at capacity today but we had no trouble finding a spot to spread out. My only compliant is it the beach has a lot of rocks so water shoes are a must for the kids and a good idea for adults.

they have a refreshment stand or you can bring coolers and food. It cost about $15 to get in with a car. The weekends are packed with people, so go during the week if possible. Overall a great place to take the kids.

Decided to go to the beach on July 5th figuring it would be less crowded. Was a perfect day. Not a lot of people, beautiful weather. There are bathrooms close by the beach! Highly recommend

Realisticly, Hamonasset has enormous parking so that is not an issue. A good spot is more subjective but I like early morning for a walk, and the late afternoon for sunning with SPF 85. Have a great time and pick your own... More

Yes. They have restrooms and while all are not open, you will find some of them are open. When I went I could use family restroom as it was open.
