Visited second time at this amazing old town and it seems that sun always shines in Tammisaari. Nicely renovated old buildings in old town with beautiful little shops and cafes to visit.

The Old Town is lovely but there is not really that much to see. There are other 'old' towns in Finland that are more interesting (Rauma, Porvoo).

Lovely church, nice courtyards and fenced inner wards. Traffic is also permitted for cars so this is not pedestrian zone and streets are quite narrow. Lovely sea front to walk along (not sandy beach, though) and feel the light sea breeze.

Nice old town near a lake. The Visitor Info Centre was very helpful. A couple of nice restaurants serving lunch.

Small streets and colorful wooden houses invite to spend an hour at the seaside with a lovely park, some ice cream or a lunch. It is not very touristy so perfect for ealing with the locals. When you are in this area make a break...More
