The Peabody is my favorite of Yale's museums, and I've never had a kid disagree with that. They have a wide variety of permanent animal and bird displays and a hall for rotating exhibits, an awesome exploration room for kids, and a hall of dinosaurs...More

Good stop for a few hours. Small but interesting. Street parking right outside with meters that are free on Sunday.

my daughter is a dinosaur fan, especially stegosaurus -- and the collection of dino skeletons at the Peabody does not disappoint. Also, for kids, the hands-on exploration room upstairs is really quite wonderful.

We had a good time here, it's a lot bigger than we had thought and there's a lot to see. In addition to the dinosaurs (which are always my favorite) there was a really interesting mummy exhibit. It was definitely worth the trip.
