I'm not a shopper but it there was a lot to look at. I might have enjoyed it more if I was more comfortable in cold weather.

My husband described his view of Harness Tower from his dorm room. He told me that this particular Tower is one of the most unusual and ornate towers in Yale.

Chapel Street is one of the great college avenues in America. Start at Chapel and College, across from the New Haven Green and go north and you'll pass on the right Yale's historic Old Campus, Yale's Art Museum, the brutalist styled architecture building, insomnia cookies, two iconic hotels, the Duncan and the Study, and so on, while on the other... When you visit New Haven, take some time to visit the unique stores and local dining spots on Chapel Street. My favorite eatery is Claire's (coffee, shakes, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and bakery treats) and my favorite store is Wave (unique jewelry and gifts).

This place is the heart of Yale! Lots of things to see and do here. I would recommend being careful at night as there can be some unscrupulous individuals.

Chapel Street is a main East-West artery road in New Haven. It runs right past Yale University, the Yale Repertory Theater, the Yale School of Drama, and, down the road, the Yale Bowl, the Yale football stadium.

Lot of food joints, full of people having a nice time. In evenings, the street gets busier and brighter. Good place to chill out.

Chapel Street has a host of stores and two museums to visit. There are a variety of excellent restaurants on the street as well. History at your finger tips on this street.
