We stayed at a local B&B close by and did two loops around Lake Waramaug on a recent fall Sunday and loved every minute of it. The lake is great, the homes surrounding it beautiful! With a nearby camp ground and golf course, this place is wonderful!

This place is the WORST CAMPGROUND on the EAST COAST. We have stayed in all types of camp grounds. Military ... State....Federal ...and Private. 1st ...The entrance into the camp ground is a steep upgrade...I have a 29 ft Class C and yes my trailer hitch scrapped when going up into the entrance. 2nd... The staff were not at all... More

Lake Waramaug is a stunning lake setting with beautiful scenery. Absolutely worth visiting. It even has a little beach for relaxing and soaking up the setting.

I've been to a Lake Waramaug many times. My husband has raced a 31 and 50 mile run at Lake Waramaug. It's a peaceful place to visit and relax. Many people like to picnic, camp, and enjoy the water sports on the lake. Spend a day and have a picnic or go to Hopkins Vineyard.

The view of the lake is fabulous in autumn when the foliage turns into different colors. We walked around the lake using 2 hrs.

Beautiful sunny fall day to capture the colors of the trees reflected in the lake. So beautiful!! The beach is small but pleasant. Not so easy to walk around the lake but plenty joggers and cyclists enjoying. Easy jaunt to Hopkins winery from here.

Limited places to stop but a good car park near one end with a drive round most of the, unfortunately inaccessible, shore. Pick a calm day in autumn for best effect.

We rented kayaks and spent some time viewing the beautiful houses on the lake front. There is limited access, and we parked acros a street within the National Park boundaries. My sense of this lake is that tourists are not top priority; the wealthy lake property owners are.

Surrounded by paved road perimeter and scattered home, Inn, campgrounds. Two beaches, one looked public. Best for paddling sports. Pretty drive around and near Hopkins Vineyard and Inn.
