The wine continues to win awards...against what I do not know. The wine is high priced junk for the most part. The view is amazing of the lake

We have visited more than a few CT wineries and find Hopkins to be at the top of what we have tasted. Now you should know we lived in Napa Valley for years so we are familiar with some very high end wines. No winery in CT can produce what the average winery in CA can. Climate just won't allow... Yes, as hard as it is to believe, we make some great wines, reds, whites and sparkling wines. All potable. Especially their ice wine. Better than the Canadian Niagran expensive versions. Visit soon, open all year round. Break some bread there, spill some wine and get familiar.

Of the twenty some wineries I have visited in the state, this one is hands down the favorite of both my wife and I. The winery is on a hill overlooking a lake which gives some awesome views. The staff here is top notch and they really know what they are talking about. The man that served us was fantastic.... More

My sweetheart and I visited the Hopkins Vinyard this past weekend. It was a real treat. The atmosphere is divine; calm and serene, with rolling hills and wonderful views. The wines are very nice, compared to other wineries we have visited in the area. The management has it's act together and the staff is well versed on the wines and... More

Unexpectedly stopped at Hopkins Vineyard today. Enjoyed the various wines, location was beautiful, and the staff very friendly! Very nice gift shop with many wine-inspired gifts (coasters, cocktail napkins...). I recommend a visit to this winery!

We had been here before, wines are still just adequate but it's a lovely location by Lake Waramaug and they have a wonderful gift shop - one of the best for a winery. worth a stop if you're doing the NW hills of the CT Wine Trail.

I give this place 4 out of 5 stars for the location. I've been to the Hopkins Vineyard 3 times now. The wine is nice. There is a room upstairs where you can buy snacks to enjoy with your wine. The cheese plates are pricey though, and not everyone is thrilled with chutney. As I said with my review for... More

The view is astounding. But the staff, not so much. I decided to buy a box of wine to ship home to share with my cali peeps, and laugh about the genuine attempt. With that, I make my purchase. As I'm at the counter - you know, clearly trying to run away from my pricey tasting fee- the pourer comes... More
