This a great place for small children and people who are interested in dinosaurs. If this isn't you then don't bother going. It's cool to see the fossils if you've never seen them before, but overall nothing special.

I was actually kind of disappointed at first going here. I didn't have any expectation of seeing Jurassic Park or anything fancy. And I wasn't disappointed in that expectation. Essentially it seems to be a giant Dome over a bunch of footprints that some Department of Transportation crew found when they were building Interstate 91. Maybe if I had started... More

This is a great visit for adults and children. Great place to learn about dinosaurs. Admission is very reasonable. They have the inside museum but in the months when weather is warmer, they also have outside activities. If you visit this site, I would also combine a visit to the Rocky Hill Ferry which crosses the CT River (and is... More

We had a 7 year old up from Florida and brought her there. We had an entertaining afternoon while learning about very early Connecticut.

Not worth the time. Took my 3 and 5 year old over the summer. Figured we'd have a nice picnic, walk the trails and check out some dinosaur bones. There was nothing to do. There was a movie showing about the excavation of the park and how they found bones thus making it a state park, but my goodness, i've... More

They discovered Dinosaur's foot print and it's nice to know about them. My son likes dinosaurs a lot so he enjoyed. It's a small place but the park is very big and beautiful for picnic and walking . They also have a 40 minutes video of this discovery and related science about it which is good to watch for adults,... More

We visited the museum recently to meet the world renowned paleontologist, Dr. Robert Bakker, who appeared to give a lecture and sign copies of his books. My daughter, an avid dinosaur enthusiast and future paleontologist, was super excited to be there. The museum itself is small, basically a round building built right over actual tracks of Dilosophorus, an early Jurassic... More

I had no idea about the incredible amount of dinosaur footprints in the Connecticut Valley. Very interesting museum with a lot of interactive exhibits for the children. Only disappointment was that the weather was not good on the day we went because it looks like there are nice hiking trails all over the park.

Fun for the kids and the adults as well. There's so much more to colonial Connecticut than the European settlers and the historic buildings.
