During the week the park was peaceful. School was still in session (early June) so there were very few other campers. We went fishing & caught several sunnies and a bluegill. We took our preschoolers hiking on the easy trails and in general had a wonderful time. Be advised this is a State Park. There are no camp stores or... More

Wish we had time to hike some trails the beach area was beautiful, and very quiet, easy to get to of the interstate, beware of it in winter without AWD

Not one of Connecticut's better attractions. Beach area was dirty and the swimming area was closed. Did not make for a great day.

This was a nice, clean state park. Unless you're into water sports there didn't seem to be much to do, but the scenery was nice.

Our first camping experience at Kettletown State Park deserves an A! We rented a cabin by the lake and we're pleasantly surprised on how nice and clean the cabin was upon our arrival. It was well-built and the two furnished bedrooms were all that we needed during the stay with our family. The easy access to the lake and swimming... More

We live near Kettletown SP and do a lot of hiking, walking, and even snow shoeing there. It's great for fall or spring walks even after it rains as you can use the paved roads in addition to the trails. The foliage and lake (plus lack of the summer crowds) make these hikes even more enjoyable.
