Got there at 9am on 12/31/17. It was cold but shortly later we saw a a few young eagles soaring over the dame...Also spotted a few in the trees....Great day..a little cold bit its New England.

This is a great place for all ages to see the bald eagle in Connecticut. If you check their schedule, you might be lucky enough to see some of the birds up close that were injured and being used as schooling. They are beautiful...might be...More

A great place for nature lovers to see such magnificent birds. Unfortunately though they can only be seen in winter here.

If you wanna get really close with nature this is definitely the place. Simply gorgeous. Definitely worth visiting. Highly recommended

A quick .75 round trip fairly easy uphill walk to the dam. The main road has side trails and there is a canoe portage point at the bottom with picnic tables. Lots of joggers and bikes.

Very interesting to see these special creatures in a natural setting. If you get lucky, you might even see some juveniles 'wrestling' in the air or an adult fishing. The attendants can answer all you questions.
