What a great place to enjoy the beauty of the Long Island Sound and Westport. Whether your just looking to cool off on a hot day or worshiping the sun. Compo Beach has something for the entire family. Swim Playground, Volleyball, small boat launch, grills, picnic tables, what more could you want.

Nice semi-private town beach on Long Island Sound. Admission is charged except for town residents who purchase an annual pass. The views are spectacular, and the space expansive. Nice facilities. A nice and relaxing place to be.

While I could tell you about the crowds during the day. The lack of waves. The rocky sand. The snooty Westportians huddled around their beach blankets, judging others on the make of their umbrellas. I'll tell you about something else. Something that makes this beach truly wonderful. Just before the sunsets, head to the picnic tables at the far end... More

Nice clean beach and very spacious with good amenities. The beach is a bit rocky...I wish it had more sand and they could remove the rocks.

Wide beach (not great sand) with views over LI sound and some islands. Great playground for little kids, lots of parking, beautiful boardwalk for running, walking (no skateboards or bikes on boarwalk...) There's a skate park, a pickleball court (new) basketball courts, volleyball, baseball, marina and Joey's @The Beach for food. You can also store and launch kayaks, canoes, paddle... More

Have been going to this beach for years - since I was a kid. Upon visiting family, go here during the season. Nothing much has changed over the years. The snack bar is very good and the beach is well kept up concerning litter.

Lovely beach the locals frequent and it's easy to see why/ Enjoy a nice sunny walk or pretty sunset. Take your dog and spy on the multi-million dollar houses on the beach front.

While Compo Beach is active and crowded in the summertime, the beach is a haven for people that are dog lovers. You can walk your dog on the beach during the winter, and it appears to be a pretty popular daily activity. Bundle up as the winds can be daunting.
