Crisp clear day to walk the beach.

Great walking paths. Windy in winter months. Be advised that in the off season facilities are limited to one "family" bathroom.

It's main attraction is the 9-11 Memorial. Pulls at your heart strings and begs for reflection. Many easy to walk hiking trails. Beautiful Long Island sound views. Friendly people. They all said Hi. Pleanty of parking spots. Worth more than one visit.

This is a terrific Conn state park, with Ct's 9/11 memorial. You can enjoy the beach, the playfields picnic sites to have a terrific day and right off of Exit 18 of I-95

This is a peaceful state park with very moderate crowds and a great view. It's also nice in the off season, when the Connecticut weather suggests long walks on the beach without a plunge into the water,

Something for everyone and every season. Really nice picnic areas, although some benches/tables are pretty shot. Very decent parking and easy to access off I-95. Beach is pretty decent and you can take a nice walk through the park to walk off those hot dogs you ate!

We had never been here and were nearby and decided to visit. It is fall so there was no charge for entry. There is a runway and area for flying radio controlled planes. It was fun to watch. The beach is broad and compact with lots of shells for collecting. Usually pets are not allowed and signs note it everywhere,... More

We have gone there just to walk and see the water and also for the ALS Associations "Walk for the Cure." Thanks! Most trails are paved and easy to use. Sights are always lovely. There is also the 9/11 Memorial which is nice to see.

For somebody coming in from out of state (just north of NYC) for the day, it's a nice destination. Unlike community beaches in Conn, it's accessible even in the height of the summer season (for a price). Nice place to hang out on the beach, have a picnic, and/or go for a hike in the woods and along the shore.

The beach was not too crowded, even though we went on a Sunday. The reviews state an issue with the Canadian geese in the park and it is true. However people feed them, so I cannot see a solution there... but the problem is not on the beach itself. The water was with algae so it looked murky, but it... More

First of all your on long island sound so the water can be iffy. On weekends and many summer days you'll get busloads of people from everywhere
