We walked down here and enjoyed a warm full day in the sunshine looking at the boats and the sunlight sparkling on the water. It was a nice peaceful spot that would be awesome for a picnic. We walked here from the Webb Museum and it was a little under a mile. I recommend that because that way you get... More

Picnic tables were kind of grim looking aka not taken care of, there was 1 boat in the water and the others were covered up for the season it looked like. I wasn't overly impressed with this, there is no real place to walk far maybe half a mile if that. Looks pretty dead actually.

If you enjoy sitting and doing nothing this is your place. Cove has a few dozen sail boats and a few fishing boats. Very peaceful and quiet. Good place for a picnic lunch.

The Cove is a wonderful place to take a walk in almost any season. In the neighborhood, there are many historic homes with signs telling when they were built. In the summer there a a wonderful place to get ice cream within walking distance.

There's a great bike path here that made for a very nice shady walk on a hot summer day. Well maintained.

My husband and I were enjoying the seasonably warm weather, and wanted to get out and enjoy it. We went down to Wethersfield Cove. It was so nice to take a walk around and look at the Connecticut River. The fall foliage or what was left of it was just as pretty to look at.

The Wethersfield Cove has been in use since the 1600s. It was the center of trade for earlier settlers. Locals would trade onions for items the Europeans had. The warehouse building was built in the 1600s and was used as a storage to hold supplies for trade. Today the cove offers picnic areas and a boat launch into the Connecticut... More

Excellent place for boaters and those looking to picnic or take photos. The old barn is open to tour an accepts donations. When it rains heavy and for some time, the flooding is severe here.
