Coming from Fairfax, VA we are used to alarge library system. In Bethany Beach the library gives me everything a larger library system does without the attitude. The library houses plenty of books and periodicals along with books on CDs. Lots of computers for those in need and a lovely separate room for the children. What is not on the... More

Was able to go to Story Time with my kids while on vacation. The library staff was fantastic. The kids department is full of books, puzzles, games, computers, puppets, and all the dvds you could want to check out. Great facility!

Tucked away from the main-drag in Bethany is the South Coastal Library. Quiet, modern, well-used, well-endowed with an ever expanding collection. Professional and friendly full-time staff, with lots of retiree volunteers. Locals and tourists welcomed.

This is a good library, with helpful librarians and the services you would expect. You don't have to live here to use them. If you are visiting, be sure to check the online calendar. We have attended lectures and performances at South Coast Library during our vacations in Bethany Beach.

Large library with children's, teens', and adult rooms. Large capacity for books, videos, DVDs, magazines; and independent computers available for adults and children located in separate sections. All kinds of programs available day and night for adults and children throughout the year. Well connected to other DE libraries for borrowing what is not on the shelves. Best staff possible!
