My wife and I visited this museum while in Dover. I'm retired USAF. One of the best military museums I've been too. Excellent collection of USAF aircraft, and military history. Excellent staff of volunteers that take very good care of the aircraft. Several are open for viewing. We were checking out the B-17 inside the hangar and listened to the... More

My wife and I walked around for about 90 minutes inside and out with all the planes the highlight was looking and touching Air Force to the former vice president's plane.

Very cool place to take the kids. They're always updating and adding additional activities. The guides are very informative and answer any questions you may have. Going on the old planes is my favorite!

A true bargain, with free admission, the museum has a phenomenal collection of aircraft, from the simplest, smallest, single seater to the monstrous C-5A Galaxy. Many can be boarded, so you can see them from inside and out. Ever flown a fighter? Now you can try the next best thing with their free simulators. Call ahead to check hours of... More

The museum was under some construction but the guides (volunteers) went above and beyond the call of duty to show us around to what they could. Many interesting items and so much history to digest.

The volunteers here are all so nice and very knowledgeable. They were able to answer all of the questions we had. Can't wait to go back.

We are so impressed with this place that we take guests to see it all the time. There are two parts: the hanger with small planes and helicopters in historical displays, then outside on the field with big planes. Wear walking shoes. The hanger is air-conditioned. Many volunteers are ex-military who have flown in the planes on display. They are... More

As we were visiting our son at the base. he took us on the tour. It was such a history lesson of our military flyers. Pilots and planes. We even got to tour a Presidential plane. I recommend you see this site.

We are new to Delaware so we did not go with super high expectations. First, the man in the gift shop (Art) knows more about these planes than I ever forgot. His enthusiasm is contagious. And then right after we got into the hangar we made a connection with a volunteer named Chet--wow! He completely transformed our visit. What could... More
