You must visit On the Rocks bar and grill behind the ferry terminal. Great views on the water. Watch the ferry leave. Just good bar food and a decent choice of locally crafted beers. We always make this a "ride to eat" destination on our Harley.

If your in the Cape May and Villas are of South Jersey make it a point to go to the docks where the Ferry comes in. There a long rock jetty to walk out on and sit out on the water. The beaches are wide, especially at low tide so a stroll is nice. The bird wildlife is active if... More

We have used the ferry several times in the past but this was our first winter crossing. It is a relaxing and relatively inexpensive way to save some miles if it fits your schedule. The ferries keep on schedule and the crew is helpful and friendly.

The ride is nice going across in either direction! It is relaxing to ride across the water. If going further south or coming up, it connects to the Bay Bridge and Tunnel that takes you down to North Carolina. It is a beautiful trip but not if you are in a hurry!

Going by ferry saved us a lot of time and aggravation and kept us off I-95 and all the traffic, pot-holes and rude drivers. Made the day "fun" and not miserable in all the traffic. Will do it again and again.

I decided to take my family home on the ferry after an evening of shopping in Rehoboth. It was a first for everyone but me. All these years later the ferry still amazes the young and young at heart. It really is a mini cruise more than a passenger ferry. I'll be back to do it again when it's warm!

The terminals are beautifully designed and functional. The parking is free if you leave your vehicle in NJ and just visiting DE but of course many drivers use ferry as part of their more extended automotive journey. It is such a great shortcut! The ferry is usually on time and the trip itself is interesting. Very attractive for kids just... More

I love ferry rides, and this one didn't disappoint. $36 for two and my truck. Top floor bar, but not much to see since it was dark out. Smooth load/unload process, though I didn't need to get there as early as I did (I was a sucker and followed their 1 hour in advance guidance...maybe it matters in the summer).... More

We hope you'll come back to check it out! In the summer, we also have music cruises and some great events to enjoy the weather. Thanks for cruising! More

If you live in the north east and want to travel south, The Cape May-Lewes Ferry is a great way to go. Scheduled departures are on time but change with the season. Make reservations online and if you miss your boat, they will put you on the next if they have space. Great way to see dolphin and birds during... More

Rode the ferry both ways in one day. Only complaint was boats were only doing Four trips this day but that's because of the day of the month. Had reservations but they really weren't necessary. It was a very windy day so both trips were pretty choppy, so it was like boating on the Chesapeake Bay. Overall a good convenient... More

Thanks for riding with us and for taking the time to leave your review, John! Depending on the weather, it can get choppy out on the Delaware Bay, but I'm glad to hear the travels went smoothly otherwise. Looking forward to having you cruise with us again soon! More
