A nice change of pace if you are in town for anything. I'd suggest planning a walk around a nice meal either lunch or dinner. There are several nice restaurants along the riverfront and a market. Prices vary from inexpensive to more expensive. However, you can simply come down to the riverfront, park and then take a walk.

Visited in April. Weather was beautiful. I think the concept of the river walk is great and we saw many people walking along it. However, needs to go always more to fully build it out as a destination. Several restaurants but lots of empty buildings. Went during the day and felt safe. Not sure I would go at night -... More

We had a quick stop off in Wilmington while getting some time away from the beach. You had a great view of the USS North Carolina from the river walk. There are a few shops and restaurants but that's about it. Just OK. Perhaps we didn't get to see the best bits?

If you're a local, you may have seen Wilmington develop all around you. Maybe you like it. Maybe, you don't. I can remember buying Christmas presents at the Wilmington Dry Goods, and the smell of Roasted Chestnuts at 4th & Market. Them's were the days. But don't write off the waterfront. Not yet. Yeah, new shops and new restaurants. But... More

The Wilmington Riverwalk offers a nice outdoor area to enjoy the sights and sounds by the river and also enjoy the area near downtown Wilmington.

If you find yourself visiting Delaware and are looking for a water front experience, don't expect this to be like others you might have seen. Albeit, if you are hungry, there are lots of options, and now there is a new outdoor beer garden for a little excitement but overall, this waterfront has fallen short. My biggest issue has always... There is plenty to do as you stroll along the waterfront from resturant to the water taxi ride. In the wi ter there even a ice rink. A day to enjoy family.

The riverfront is a great place to walk and take in the sights. And, if you get hungry along the way, there are some great restaurants and even an ice cream store! I don't think I'd take this walk after business hours, however.

Nice boardwalk. A river taxi during certain seasons, Eateries (including a Vegetarian restaurant, seafood, steak, Thai food, etc), a Minor league baseball stadium, mini gulf course, Stratosphere trampoline park, a movie theater, and a Bus & Train Station near by. Something for all members of the family.

Here is my baby after visiting the River front. Made her tired. Relaxed me. Love going. Usually my husband and I go there for a long walk. Lot's to see and do. Food and drinks at many awesome restaraunts.
