Been to Longwood Gardens and Winterthur, so thought it was time to see another DuPont estate. Classically french, in both house, furniture, and gardens. They boast 77 rooms in the mansion but I don't think we saw more than 20-24 ( don't get me wrong,...More

To build not one but 2 fortunes! Love what capitalism offers. Love the opportunity to be the 1%. Amazing visit on a rainy day gave us a one on one tour.

Lots of History about Delaware and its DuPont natives. We've had Duponts for governors and of course amongst others that were involved in various activities in Delaware

This is about a 4 hour adventure. You see most of the property on a bus. Then you can walk the property as far as you want. Beautiful fountains and gardens and a few old cars.

They no longer take reservations. They now allow children, so it can get pretty crazy during peak times. No more guided tours and now there are many restrictions on where to go. It's OK now, but it used to be so much better... More

I agree with Celeste. A half day is perfect to see everything. There is a cafe on the grounds for a quick lunch and they have a fabulous grilled cheese sandwich!
