Even if you have visited before, go back for the amazing vintage Christmas decorations throughout the house. And for a bonus, walk the garden grounds in the winter season: beautiful views without crowds.

Wonderful visit! Can’t recommend enough! My sister and I visit almost every year and enjoy it but this year was exceptional. They’ve changed up some of the room displays and our docent was, as always, knowledgeable and entertaining. The displays were outstanding.

A cab ride from Wilmington's Amtrak station should take 15-20 minutes. It can drop you off at the Visitors' Center. (The cafe there is quite good.) There is a shuttle that takes you to the mansion.
