Lived in Philadelphia for over 30 years and this was my first, but not my last visit. Thoroughly enjoyed the garden tour which featured a limit installation of garden follies - so fun. The house tour offered insights to a time of a past-gone era.

A cab ride from Wilmington's Amtrak station should take 15-20 minutes. It can drop you off at the Visitors' Center. (The cafe there is quite good.) There is a shuttle that takes you to the mansion.
