A wonderful little bike/ walk/ jogging trail

The Trail Head South Starts In Bartow With Plenty Of Parking Under The Shade (Turn Off Hwy 60 On Wilson Ave Behind Good Year and Tractor Supply). Mostly A Straight Trail North To Lakeland But Crosses Streams and Have Benches Along The Way. Good Place To Get Away and Unwind. Yes It Is An Old Rail Bed That Runs Beside... More

I just ran this trail for the first time a last month, and I am glad my friends suggested it. It has multiple trailheads and ample parking, and is very convenient to get to. It is almost 8 miles long, and you can do as much or as little as you want and there are water fountains and restrooms located... More

I used to run 20 miles plus a week on the trail. There were shady areas and areas in full sun. Since the construction on 98 there is far less shade. Juvenile trees have been planted in place of the trees that provided meaningful shade. It is super hot on the trail now and I have began running at Circle... More

If u want to use an old rail bed next to a 6 lane noisy highway this is the place for you. The trail goes from lakeland to Bartow. There is plenty of parking. Don't forget to lock your car.

This trail follows what looks like an abandoned railroad right of way. The trail is paved in macadam and well maintained. It parallels US Route 98 to the east side of the highway. A good place for a bike ride!

Feel safe riding your bike or walking, trail runs from Lakeland to Bartow and is really nice and not secluded.

I don't go often but enjoy the trail for walking the dog. You will see many different modes of transportation from feet to recumbent and regular bikes. Some shade, used to be more before FDOT tore down trees during the US 98 widening project. There has been some replanting.

Great for biking or jogging. Nice paved path too. Take water with you. If you are walking, comfortable shoes.

Well for what we wanted for the day it was a bust! We have 2 dogs and a 5 year old. It had restrooms and a picnic area for sandwiches but no grill. It did have nice paved sidewalks but no way of getting out of the heat! 89 degrees! It was just too hot to be on the trail!... More

Well done trial with restrooms and shelters. Kind of boring after awhile. Unfortunately, the road expansion will have multi-lane traffic running beside it with NO BUFFER! Breath deep those exhaust fumes.
