I kind of hate to give this review - this place is such a nice uncrowded place I really don't want it to change with a raving review. But, this is a wonderful state park, right at the inlet. It has nice clean bathrooms, beautiful...More

The Boca Grande and Gasparilla area is one of the prettiest places in FL I have traveled. It is also a plus to have two lighthouses in this area. The area is wealthy, beautiful and old FL.

The beach was really clean. The lighthouse is worth the trip to the south end of the island. Parking was easy.

I rent a villa in Rotonda every year, and my favourite beaches have always been those on Gasparilla Island. You have to pay a $6 toll, plus a $3 beach contribution, which means it is not cheap, but does provide fabulous white beaches and a...More

My husband and I decided to adventure out to this beach. It was terrible! The traffic was bad getting over to the island. You have to pay 6$ to get on plus an additional 3$ to go to the beach. It took forever to find...More

It's been a few years, but decided to come here to enjoy the sun for a few hours during Spring Break on a Sunday and was not disappointed! Paid the $6 to get on the island and drove through to the point (farthest of 3...More

If you visit Boca Grande and don't travel to the tip and this park you are missing out on a serene place that says sit down, watch the boats travel by, see families enjoying the warm water and shelling. The light house is not the...More

What a pretty place! The drive over is spectacular and the color of the water is unbelievable. Parking was a little tough, have to wait for someone to leave. We had a picnic lunch next to the lighthouse, nice facilities. Saw dolphins feeding off the...More

The museum is good for history buffs; lots of stairs to climb. The walkway is pretty much non-existent; use the shell road. It requires some walking from the parking lot to the lighthouse over un-even ground; elevator does NOT work. Restrooms are also up several...More

I saw no mention of camping, does this state park not have a campground, tent or RV?

Not that I saw...I went to the beach, but I'm sure you could ask around and find some excellent camping areas. I've only lived in Florida since September and this was my first time going to Gasparilla State Park.
