As a resident for a few years I learned which places to go. In my opinion this is a great place for clear water and picture like views for miles. It's often very quiet and not busy. We fish off the beach and spend the day soaking up the sun. Lots of unique fish and shells to see

we stayed at the gasparilla inn which, having been at may florida resorts, I have to say this was top shelf. completely amazing. we attended the B4 weekend in June 2016 and the resort was perfect. I would suggest getting a golf cart to zip around in, with the heat it really makes sense with all your beach stuff to... More

Recommended by a friend. Gorgeous beach, amazing homes, tiny town. Really doesn't seem to want tourists, but people were friendly. Very.nice lunch at the Loose Caboose. Would have liked the opportunity to learn more about its history. No celeb sighting bur we'd heard that lots go there.

Boca Grande is a lovely little town with boutique shops, pubs, hotels and cafes'. The beach looks great, but the Red Tide had left rotting fish on the beach. Please do not approach these fish, since the stench attacks the lungs very quickly. It won't kill you, but it is very unpleasant.

Beautiful white sand beaches. Small island only 7 miles long and 1 mile wide. Fairly undiscovered. Fabulous sunsets.

Really enjoyed touring the lighthouse and leaning about its history including the phosphate mining and railroad that were a huge part of the economy. The lighthouse has been restored and has many exhibits, even a small gift shop that included shell jewelry, t-shirts and cute children's books. Something for everyone! After touring the lighthouse we strolled the beach, a very... More

If your looking for a beautiful beach to visit, check out Boca Grande beach. Its at the very end of the road on Boca Grande. Very quiet and non crowded area. Great for fishing, shelling, or even just sitting on the beach. You can hear the sound of the waves rolling up to shore, and see the wildlife in the... More

Although the town had closed for the season, we found the South Beach Grill and had a day on the most fabulous beach. The sunset was amazing and the best way to enjoy is with a Long Island Iced Tea (or two).
