One of the nicest Rails to Trails bike paths I have every been on and I have been on dozens of Rails to Trails. Flat, clean, free of debris (even just 1 month after hurricane Irma). Quaint little town and nice State Park. A quick...More

The bike trail/ walking trail is very well maintained. I suggest early morning or early evening as it was way to hot for biking the day we went. Free trail but you must pay $6. to go over causeway to the island.

Long enough to turn into a half day adventure. Or if you choose to move faster not. Lots of things to see. It's best for folks looking to casually bike around and see where it takes them, as opposed to approaching it as a planned...More

Be aware that golf carts on this island aren't very friendly to bikers. If you are interested in going at any kind of reasonable pace...take your chances with the road. Overall I felt this island wasn't bike friendly. They'd prefer you stay off the island...More

The bike trail was well maintained. We are casual bikers and we enjoyed it immensely. We started on the north side of the island, rode all the way to the end and back. We spent the weekend on the Island and found it charming.

One of the best features of the island is it's extensive bike trail that runs the entire length of the island. Impeccable maintained.

Plenty of parking, free and a small fee. We brought our bicycles with us but could have rented them in town. This was a great way to see the island. Lighthouse, with gift shop, osprey nests, beaches, and the Gulf.

This island is so darn cute, and riding the trail is the best way to see all the details. We rented beach cruisers from a shop in town and headed south on the trail to the public beach and lighthouse on the southern tip of...More

I am sure you can, but be aware that there is a toll bridge and I am not sure if they charge for bikes. (cars are $6.00). Also, there is a lot of road and bridge construction for the first mile or so. After that it's a great... More
