The park was covered with our annual pass, but the museum was a small charge. It was well worth it to come in and get some history from the park ranger and look at and read the displays. The historic Whitman house was a pleasant...More

Staff at park made the exhibit sound so interesting that we came back when museum open, closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Worth making the second trip.

Good museum for local history, including a local home. Gives you an overview of the island and history from Native Americans to the Civil War.

The 'guide' that was there answered any questions we had. It took less than 20 miutes to circulate through the entire museum. Interesting tidbits of Cedar Key history.

This museum help place Cedar Key in context and in some ways we enjoyed the drive to get there as it provided a better understanding of the make up and structure of the Cedar Keys. The exhibits were interesting and well maintained. Glad we visited.

We came here partly because we were travelling with our dog and reviews said it was dog friendly. Wrong! They have a new manager who won't allow dogs. Unfortunate since they are out of the way and don't get many visitors. No reason to exclude...More

A neat place to visit in Cedar Key. Browse the exhibits and read all about the history in the museum. Check out the little house that has been moved and preserved. Take a little stroll in the park and enjoy nature.

You can get a good idea of what Cedar Key was like around the early 1900s. There is a small museum explaining the history of the area. Mr. Whitman’s home is open, he had a museum in his house, and there are walking paths to...More
