We went to Manatee Springs and enjoy a little walk. There was Anderson's pontoon boat tour plus their food building they run. Plus some restrooms there. A person can rent canoes and kayaks as well. We walked around a bit and saw an armadillo digging for food. It was still warm in the Gulf so the manatees were not at... More

My husband and I spent a Sunday afternoon in Manatee Springs. The Spring is easily accessible from the parking lot. The paved path winds around the Spring allowing a view the SCUBA divers below. A concession stand serves BBQ and drinks. There is a concession for water sports as well. A large board walk leads to the River. We did... More

We stayed one night with our RV. Very spacious lots immersed in the pine woods and very quiet. Wildlife would pass by the campground whilst we were sitting round the fire. The springs are beautiful. Turquoise blue water at a constant 72 degrees. Absolutely worth a visit, so relaxing and calming!!

Manatee Springs State Park is a very enjoyable place to view Florida wildlife up close. Their bird aviary is really great as you can get quite close to many birds, especially young spoonbills, Florida's best bird. And of course there are the manatees which are always a treat to see. You need about 2 hours to visit the park. The... More

We stayed in campground site #33. All sand, but there are concrete pads available in park as well. We paid $20 night plus tax for 40 ft back in site. We paid $35 a person for a guided 1 1/2 hr pontoon ride which included a chicken or pulled pork sandwich and 2 drinks. The pulled pork had a great... More

Manatee Springs, is a much larger park that offers several things to do. You can rent kayaks, pontoon boats, or go on Sunset cruises. We did not get to see any manatees as we visited in October, but we were surprised that you can get food, beer or wine and enjoy there in the park. It was worth the $6... More

We have been to the park several times with our dog and with friends and we have always had a great time. The water is crystal clear and as aqua as a swimming pool. Scuba diving is popular in the springs. Kayaking and canoe rentals are available. Their are a number of hiking trails and boat tours are also offered.... More

Great place to camp or stay the day, if you camp, then go walk or ride tour bike, you can see wild animals all over the park. Love it.
