Headed to Sand Key Park while vacationing in Clearwater. Spent the day. Great, clean family friendly beach and nature walking trails. Bathhouse area could use some maintenance but overall very pleasant excursion.

The water was not too rough, lots of fish, saw some people fishing and the beach is very nice and sandy. It was not at all crowded. Great for walking or just lounging on.

This is a state park beach that you pay to get into, but the parking situation is typically better than what is right on the Clearwater Public Beach. When we went the beach had a lot of broken shells on it but that could of...More

We kind of ended up here for an afternoon by default when the parking was all taken up at Pier 60. It ended up as a nice quiet place to take the kids. The waves were bigger than I expected in the Gulf, and the...More

$5 to park and then you have access to the beautiful park/beach! If you are planning on going to the beach it is quite a walk to transport all of your chairs/stuff. They have bathrooms, a washing station and showers to rinse off with. The...More

When I was there it was cash only. There are usually plenty, but I recommend arriving early if you want a specific location.
