Walked along the pier and was surprised that you actually had to pay, albeit only $1, if you wanted to go right to the end.

Walked out to the area where you pat $1 to go through the turnstile to walk the final 40 yards. Nothing special. Every beach has a pier. We didn't pay the buck.

It was great that they had outdoor movies showing. The entertainment was ok. Hard to see with so many ppl gathered around. Merchants are good along the pier but crowded.

Visited a few times on our trip to Clearwater. Different times of day and always lots going on. Sunset is busy but crowds move up and down the pier. Kids loved the sidewalk entertainment and playground.

I think so, but I know Sand Key has an area set aside for dogs, but Honeymoon Island has a huge area for dogs.

High 70's and low in the 50's. I'm a local and pretty much live in shorts and t-shirts year round with the exception of some cold dips from the north. Bring a light jacket and jeans just in case.
