We had a most stunning canoe ride, reasonably priced and easy access along the Wakulla River. It's so beautiful being along the calm river seeing the reflections of all the trees, occasionally passing a fishermen sitting on the docks and hearing the quiet. Owner was helpful and delightful. Highly recommend renting a canoe or kayak or whatever boat they got!

We kayaked three miles up the river and three miles back. I would recommend going earlier in the morning. The river is calm and not congested, better for wildlife viewing. We saw two manatee in the morning! One of them nearly knocked my husband out of his kayak! We also saw lots of fish, turtles and an alligator. The river... More

This is a great place to go canoeing. Beautiful route. We saw a lot of alligators, turtles, birds, fish and even two manatees. Anyone who loves nature, wildlife or animals will enjoy this.

Great location, shaded parking, and beautiful river trip. Upon checking in, the guy answered any questions I had. Then, when we received our rentals and were loading up, the guy helping with that was SUPER helpful, very friendly and knowledgeable. (I actually planned on tipping him on our return, but..) We had a great trip..until we got back. Immediately upon... More

We canoe as often as possible, and this summer alone, we have canoed 4 states. This was the worst 3hrs of the summer. The Wakulla River has a lot to offer, but it offers so much, it's power boat Laden. We canoed on a Saturday, and without exaggeration, dealt with 30 party boats a mile. I hoped the densely packed... A local recommended this place to me because I wanted to see alligators...and it was terrific! Kayak rental was quick & very reasonable. Once you pay, you're on your way. I paddled upstream for about 2 hours and was surprised at how beautiful the river is. I went at low tide so I saw lots of turtles, birds, jumping fish... More

We spent six days kayaking using guides from TNT and their associates at The Wilderness Way. Not knowing the area we opted to hire guides. Guides quickly assessed our skills (experienced but not expert) and arranged appropriate kayak tours for us & let us try different kayaks to find what we liked. For 5 of our trips two of us... More

Have been on several canoe trips with TNT. If going upstream is too hard for you they will carry you up and drop you off up river so you can float gently down the river. The scenery in gorgeous and you may very well see manatees.

My friends and I booked a manatee tour on a Wednesday morning. Wakulla River was peaceful and beautiful. Saw a female manatee and her calf. The baby came up to our kayaks, sniffing our fingers.
