Honeymoon Island is definitely worth the admission cost! It is paradise with clear-blue water and sugary white sand. For seclusion, go to the North Beach parking area and then walk the beach to the North. It was amazing! Lots of great shelling in this area. I have been told that there are rattlesnakes on the island, however, in my visits... More

Great place to go regardless of whether you have kids or not. There is an entry fee at the gate ($8 for multiple passengers), but it helps deter the huge college crowd that you find nearby at Clearwater Beach. Plenty of wildlife viewing here too. One of our faves :-)

I recommend heading down to the end of the island and going to the oasis beach if you are looking for a less busy section.

You must start your day at the Nature Center and get the skinny on the wildlife and then you can spend your whole day exploring, walking trails or just laying on the beach. We found amazing shells and had a great time walking around!!

This is an absolutely beautiful beach. I even hate to say so as I don't want it to get too crowded. Yes, as it is a Florida State Park, you do have to pay entry. But the fee is worth it.

We cycled to this fabulous island via the Pinellas trail, what a treat! Amazing wildlife and an incredible beach. We saw nesting Bald Eagles and Osprey's, Owls and tortoises, such a great experience.

This is a very nice beach to go and relax. There was plenty of parking and plenty of room on the beach. Water was very calm. Very easy to get in and out. Clean changing rooms.

We didn't know what to expect and were pleasantly surprised. It was almost like being on our own private beach. We walked to the dog beach and the kids loved watching all the dogs playing in the water. Food was expensive at the cafe, but very good. It was $8 for the carload to get into the park and I... More

With all the fantastic beach options in the area, this is a rip-off at $8......grungy restrooms, looooong walk to the water.......ugly reception at the gate, by people who should get a job they like..elsewhere!! Won't be back, for sure.
