Captain Jon Semmes is a great narrator and songster who will keep you interested and entertained as you quietly glide along the Rainbow and Withlacooche Rivers on his 40 foot pontoon boat. Capt. Jon grew up along the Rainbow River, and his love of it and its importance to the environment of the area is contagious. It is a relaxing... More

A group of friends were treated to a leisurely guided tour on a large pontoon boat. It was a gorgeous afternoon and we learned the difference between a spring fed river and a swampy one with the obligatory local alligators casually swimming here and there...much to the delight of the "non-natives" on the boat! We are planning to go on... More

This trip was the best tour we have taken in a long time. Gently moving down the Withlacoochee and Rainbow Rivers, we were able to see a lot of wildlife. Captain Jon's knowledge of the area and the challenges facing our water supply was outstanding. We ended the day with Jon singing and playing his guitar. An absolutely perfect day!!

We northern transplants to Dunnellon and paddle these two rivers alot. This tour is great for people who would otherwise be unable to get out on the water to see these beautiful rivers. Access to the boat is a very short walk and very slight ramp incline. As others have stated, the owner is knowledgeable and fun. If you want... More

Nice boat ride down two rivers that meet with both rivers having totally different eco systems. Very relaxing. Great for adults but children might get bored. Mainly seeing trees, birds, turtles, and an occasional alligator. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. Boat was clean with comfortable seats. There are rest rooms located next to the... More

Really had a nice day. We all enjoyed! My mom and the kids. Loved the wildlife, hadn't seen an Alligator before. Don't worry wasn't close. The entertainment "singing stories" was much enjoyed by all. Would highly recommend. Was told by front desk to call. Also saw in the Guest Directory, now I see why!!

The tour was educational and FUN. Jon has a great sense of humor and his knowledge about the rivers is outstanding. His singing was enjoyable as well. We got some great pictures of alligators, turtles and a variety of birds. Even saw an otter! Highly recommend the tour.

Spent this morning on the Singing River Tours boat trip. The boat was very clean and roomy. The tour guide was excellent. He was very informative about the history and nature of the two rivers, the springs and the aquifers. He was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and the scenery. He obviously cares deeply about the health and well being... More
