This is a nice intro to those who haven't seen a cave before; it's a well organised experience and fully guided. I wouldn't recommend investing effort in coming all the way just to see these caves thought. It's way away from main tourist attractions, expensive...More

We had a two hour drive to get there, so maybe we should have planned a couple of other things to do in the region because you'll only spend an hour or so there, but it was well organised and enjoyable. The only thing that...More

Hi Gareth so glad to hear that you enjoyed your tour in Al Hoota cave As for the cameras of all kinds are not allowed because they negatively affect the cave's ecosystem. As well as that, using cameras will slow down groups movement which will...More

The best route for you would be to drive to Yanqul and then to Ibri. From there you can drive to Bahla and further down to Al Hoota Cave. It should take you around 3.5 hours from Sohar.

Yes ... you have quite a lot of that. But you can take your time and do that at your pace. If there is a difficulty in walking... do not recommend ...as it could be a long one. Enjoy Oman otherwise.
