There are really 2 parts to this park. The first is the stunning natural beauty. The park is surrounded by water (Atlantic on one side, River on the other) and represents the best nature Florida has to offer. There are a variety of birds and you are almost certain to see deer. The alligators are not as easy to spot,... More

This park was close to our hotel so we decided to hike the 3 miles up to the Fort itself. They have a great hiking/biking path along the marshes, then the Fort itself, along the water, was really interesting. A great experience!

While I wasn't impressed by much else in the area, this park was a showstopper. I loved it. I couldn't even enjoy it the way I would if I had more time, so the visit was quick and short. But, it was memorable. I really wanted to ditch the rest of our plans and just rent a bike and ride... More

We all had fun exploring the fort. We saw a few wild animals and got to a chance to see this fun staff bring history to life. The beach view from the fort side is lovely. It compliments a trip to Amelia Island. The camping looks worth while if your thinking of spending a few days exploring the park.

We camped at Fort Clinch for three days. This is the best campsite we've stayed at. The campsites on the river side are fantastic. The spots are spacious and offer lots of shade. We loved being under a huge oak tree. We were tent camping and the shade made it very comfortable. The bathrooms are the best we've ever seen... More

We visited the park and had a great afternoon. It was during May so it was not crowded at all. We visited the fort and were 2 of about 8-10 people in the whole fort. It was like having it all to ourselves. Fort is amazing to see and the views of the beach, water and across to Georgia were... More
