Great place to take photos. We visited the fort which is right on the water. There's many hiking & biking trails along with camp sites. Nice way to break up the day or pack a picnic & enjoy natures beauty.

Good lowland trails, go early in the morning before there is too much traffic and expect to see lots of wildlife we often see deer feeding on the trails.

Thought, OK, not really into the Civil war that much but it can be interesting. IT WAS COOL. The architecture was really great and the Fort was fun to walk through. After that the short walk to the beach was great. Shells, long beach almost deserted, the canopied drive was amazing. Worth the visit.

The park is rich in history and fun to tour. The shelling here was awesome. There were many varieties and huge shells. The kids really enjoyed this park.

Fun place for collecting shells and sharks teeth. On one side is the Atlantic on the other is the river. $6. Entrance fee allows you to go out & return the same day. Helpful visitor center. Campground also.

Our family visited Fort Clinch while we were vacationing on Amelia Island. It was a fun stop for history lovers and a nice place for my little ones to roam free and climb. The scenery there on the ocean was especially beautiful, too.

We have camped at both the River and Ocean sites numerous times. (We live around the corner!) Ocean is great, fantastic views, deer every evening, as long as you keep in mind you are completely exposed to the elements, and it can be very windy on the north point of the island where these sites are located. The River sites... More

We have visited many forts but this one was different from others. The structure is unique and must be seen to appreciate. Great history. We also camped at Riverside. It was perfect. Nice and quiet. We rode over to the beach camping and are very glad we didn't camp there as it offered little privacy. We were at #33 which... More
