Plays should have a disclaimer on age. Place is run down and scary looking. I had to walk away with my husband and son.

Through an organization in Fort Lauderdale, I was able to secure tickets to a play called "Love, Valor, Compassion. The production was very professional and played to a full house. Coincidentally, I recognized that the location of the theater was located in what seems to be quickly becoming a little art colony in Fort Lauderdale. Warehouses host art galleries, and... More

Andrews Living Arts has been around 5 years in the Fat Village in a small space on Nw 5th St a block west of Andrews Avenue. They combine performances of successful plays, and do youth and adult theatre education. They do a good job with the resources they have, and always challenge their audiences to embrace the Theatre of Imagination.... More

A very intimate, small theater with seating for just 50 people in 4 rows, so everyone is VERY close to the stage. No curtain, low budget, sparse set – but you don’t go to a live performance to see the furniture. You go for the actors, and these actors (and director and support staff) put a lot of heart and... In August, this small black box theater produced "Love! Valour! Compassion!", a seldom produced play by Terrence McNally. Director Jerry Jensen put together a cast of seven men willing to share their bods with the audience, including Brayan Betancourt as the sassy hunk. If this is a typical ALA effort, their future is bright.

This is such a hidden gem, Bob the owner is such a nice guy and he loves what he does, he is so interesting to talk to. I'm so glad I found the theatre, I will definately go back. I went to see Zoo Story, a 2 cast one scene play and it was so intense, I loved it. I'm... More

Downtown in a facility with decor needing update. Sunset Baby, with John Archie, Makeba Place and Ethan Henry. Two generations of urban outlaws struggle to stay afloat. The 45 or 50 people, that's about a full house, enjoyed the show. Cost $25.

Translated into English from Italian by the winter and producer Massimo Stinco, inspired by Pasolini. This is a gay play with full frontal male nudity. This was the attraction for us apart from one of the cast approaching us in Alibi and drawing our attention to it. So we thought why not? The play, set in Italy at the end... More

This was our first time at Andrews Living Art Studio and it was very enjoyable. I'd never seen the play Jekyll and Hyde and must say for a little stage, they put on quite a show........lots of people and an enormous amount of talent. The theater sits 50 people with general seating. In other words, get there early to chose... More
