Butterflies were fluttering everywhere in the plant-filled greenhouse. We saw a variety of local species & enjoyed watching them flit from flower to flower. Staff members graciously answered our many questions about the types of butterflies, host & nectar plants. We also saw various caterpillars & chrysali. We were impressed & enjoyed a short visit (about an hour). We had... More

It was a rainy day and we were looking for last minute change in activities for the day. We came to find that on cloudy days the butterflies are not always out, even though the conservatory is indoors. However, we still saw a ton of butterflies and had a fun few hours at the conservatory. The staff was so nice... More

Had a great time with wife and 3 y/o daughter this afternoon. Guide was knowledgeable and sweet. Cashier gave me free admission because I am a veteran. Great opportunity to teach our young one on the life cycle of the butterfly. Several exhibits with butterflies at different life stages including chrysalis. Check out their monarchs, very cool.

Spotted this place advertised in a magazine in Fort Myers so decided to go. The staff were so friendly and enthusiastic. I love butterflies so it was nice to see the circle of life all in one place. To see the butterflies flying all around was mesmerising and I learnt some things I never new before. Well worth a visit.

This spot is not to be missed when visiting Fort Myers. We arrived after the butterflies had been released and shortly after a group of young children finished their tour. There was quite a bit of activity but the butterflies have a calming effect.

We stopped in on a Sunday after breakfast at the Gathering Place. The staff is warm and inviting and have so much information to share. The butterfly garden is completely enclosed and has lovely plants and a coy pond. The music is peaceful and you could easily spend an hour soaking in the tranquility of the space. I will be... More

So many beautiful butterflies and flowers. Lovely, calming music playing in the backround. They talk about the importance of butterflies and the endangered Monarchs.

This is a wonderful experience for young and old. The whole life cycle of butterflies in one beautiful place. When they are flying around you, it's magical.
