Generous driving areas and fairly short course. You can tell hey redesigned and put quite a lot of money back into the course. True rolling greens that weren't the penal Ross greens I've seen elsewhere. There is no driving range but the Edison House ext door has a great bar.

We only wanted to play nine holes and needed to rent clubs. They set us up and let us go off on the 10th before 7:30 a.m. Was perfect for us to go do other things that day!

Very efficient starter that helped us to get on the course earlier than planned. We enjoyed the course a lot with its waters and sand traps. BUT please make sure that the different holes are better advertised for first time players! We had to search a few times too many.

Went with a large group that had never played here before. Staff was great. Course was in good shape with several unique holes. All was good. The only downfall was a few of the cart paths went both sides of the green so finding the next hole was a problem. 9 and 18 run side by side and is not... More

This is a very well maintained and nicely run course. We come to FMB every year and I look forward to our visiting FMCC for a round.

I have played the Donald Ross Memorial Course in Boyne Michigan and was truly looking forward to this historic course. The relatively flat layout is really misleading. The strategically placed traps and fescue along with the water hazards emphazizes a straight tee shot and then some. The greens are terrific. Undulating and fast as the Day wears on. I was... More

This is a good municipal course with wide fairways protected by water if you stray too far and difficult green (undulated) and protected by sand (poor quality). Fairways are very good and putting surface is excellent. Challenging but fair at a very reasonable price - right now $35 w cart before 12PM and less after that.

Almost 100 years ago Thomas Edison hired legendary golf architect Donald Ross to build a golf course not far from his estate in Fort Myers. The result was Fort Myers Country Club which is still around today as a municipal course owned by the city. Over the years it has had many ups and downs depending on the city's priorities.... More

Reservations made for a large party. Quoted 3 different price points by as many employees. Table not ready. No set ups, etc. Food mediocre at best. Another 2 guests arrived 10 minutes prior to the reserved time, told to wait. All of us were already seated . This venue actually ran out of both glasses and silverware! Found manager to... More
