Beautiful state park. Great opportunities to see wildlife, get out in canoe or kayak. You can see alligators, manatees, birds

Beautiful park , part of it is across the highway. We saw Dolphins swimming through the park. Saw a huge Turtle eating vegetation. Came back before dark hoping to see Manatee but no luck. Maybe next year. They have Canoe and Kayak rentals if interested.

The kayak waters were calm and we looked for manatees but they were clustered in another tributary from where we were. Still worth it if you ask the park staff ahead of time which direction to take.

Big, Beautiful beach, and a tram will take you and your belongings to the beach and back. Doesn't get much better than that

Took the dogs to the dog park and they had so much fun. Leash free exercise for them. Lots of other dogs to play with.

We had a great evening on the beach as a band entertained us. The bus to the beach was on time and accommodating. Wonderful beach.

The beach should not be crowded at that time. It is a long walk, so using the tram would be recommended. Contact the park to inquire how long they run; hopefully it will be until sunset. There is a large gazebo that could... More
