Remember how much fun traveling was before the airlines made it such a miserable experience. It’s still fun on the ferry from Ft. Meyers to Key West. In the two air-conditioned cabins of this 170’, three-deck catamaran there are couches, tables and chairs, and row chairs, all with plenty of leg room-- unlike on an airplane. Add to that a... More

Not too bad for a 31/2-4 hour trip. boat is comfortable and food and drink is available(albeit pretty expensive). Got a deal on the internet for $100 dollar round trip fare, so really no reason to complain. After a long day in Key West we were glad to board the boat and just relax. Would probably do it again.....

If you would like to visit Key West and don't what a 5 hour drive on the road down, consider the Key West Express, out of Four Myers. Board, sit back, relax and let the Express take you on a GULF adventure. Lots of room to roam the boat, clean restrooms, great views, and interesting people to meet. If you do... More

We tried the Key West Express after previous trips to Key West by car, thinking it would be more picturesque - not all of the car journey is particularly interesting. Well, very little of the Express trip is interesting because you are beyond sight of shore for all but about twenty five minutes of the three and a half -... More

Great day weather wise. Lots of sunshine. The boat ride was 4 hours each way. Took the train thru the city for highlights. Very interesting. Highly recommend!

The trip was rather smooth each way, only slightly rolling on the return. The trips were a pleasant sunny day to Key West and cloudy on the return in the evening. The Captain and Crew were courteous and aware of our every need and attended to everything. Timing was perfect and a great trip in all regards.

We happened to travel on a 'windy' day and the trip to key west was fine, but returning to Ft. Myers was a little choppy for some - but they have Dramamine available on boat and helps only if you take it at departure, not when seasick already. So although quite a number of passengers were a little sick, the... More

Have been on this boat from Ft. Myres Beach to Key West and back a couple of times. The trip is normally pretty rough and many times, people get seasick. Unless you are a seasoned nautical traveler or the waters are calm, I wouldn't recommend this trip.

This was the 2nd time we've boated to Key West on the KWE, and we enjoyed it again. You'll do better to get there as earlier as you can both ways (bring a book) to get your pick of places to sit--thus avoiding sitting topside with the wind and spray. Lots to eat & drink and tv to watch on... More

The Key West Expess was a nice, clean boat trip from Fort Myers Beach to Key West. Food and drink are available on board. Many large screen tv's and a movie on each trip help the time pass. Our biggest concern was that the advertised travel time was misleading. Although we had beautiful, calm weather the advertised time of 3... More
