We took the Key West Express to Key West and think that it is probably the best and quickest way to get from the central FL to Key West. We drove to Ft Myers, parked and walked straight onto the catamaran. I'll start with the negatives as there are only two: 1). The tickets are not cheap, even so it's... More

A pleasure to hear that your found the your travel to be comfortable, fast and easy! In regard to expense we would encourage everyone to compare our fares to that of airlines. In addition to being much more cost efficient, our guests have the freedom to move about the vessel, choose to be inside or out, visit the galley or... More

We used the key west express to travel from Fort Myers to Key West. The trip was smooth, the weather beautiful. It is expensive, but on the other hand you get to spend 3 1/2 hours on the beautiful blue gulf each Way. I didn't care for the way the customers were asked to provide tips for the staff, telling... We purchased our tickets on sale for the Key West Express back in 2014 with the stipulations they could not be used that year (2014) and had to be used within 2 years. We paid $99 each round trip ($198 for 2) which is slightly more expensive than driving but is considerably faster. We left on a Sunday in the... More

We purchased our tickets and had postponed using them and we had to use them by December 31st so we decided to just got over for the day and how much fun it was. The Boat rise is fun and peaceful just make sure you have a warm jacket since it is very cold on return..

I love taking this boat. It boards early outbound from Fort Myers so I stay nearby. Drink your way down to the key and the four hours flies by. It drops you near everything. I recommend staying a night near Duval and you can enjoy the next day evening return. Maybe catch a sunset or some stars on the way... More

The staff was amazing!! We went from Fort Meyers to Key West for the weekend, but if you are going down this time of year first, they do not go to Marco Island and secondly, the ride back was not good very rough many people on the boat was getting sick not something that made a good trip. So if... More

We were meeting friends in Key West for Thanksgiving long weekend. Since we were already doing a long road trip from Texas we did not want to drive all the way to Key West and we do not like flying during Thanksgivig. Key West Express seemed like a good option and it was. Here are my recommendations Book in advance... More

Overall: This is a great alternative to the cost and hassle of flying if you're a Florida local or the painful drive down. It is an overall fun experience and gives a chance to spend time in both Ft. Meyers and/or Marco Island and Key West if your trip allows. We have shared with many of our family and Tampa... More

Well, it certainly DOES get you down to Key west in a hurry, no doubts... It IS a bit pricey, so not the best idea for a family outing. PLUS- you will only get a few hours in Key west, and THAT destination should get way more time to be spent there. The boat WILL BE crowded and a bit... More

This was our very first trip to Key West. Read about Key West Express and decided to try it. First thought about staying overnight then changed our minds and stayed two nights after reading things to do in Key West and figured we need two nights. Definitely bring a camera, warmer clothing if sitting outside on the ferry, and for... More
